The hotel is a bit hard to find, a bigger sign wouldn't go amiss, but it is in a very interesting location, and the hotel itself is like something out of a fairy tale. It is a traditional architecture, so it might look strange to europeans, but it is well worth a visit. The air conditioning is on the upper level, so it isn't too efficient downstairs, but we were there during a very warm period, above 40 degrees outside, it might be more efficient on cooler days. The breakfast was good, and we could dip in the pool even at night, which was very welcome. The bathroom is great.

We stayed two nights in this beautiful riad in Tozeur. The riad is a historic palace located in the heart of the medina yet a peaceful oasis to escape to. The riad is beautifully decorated and furnished. We particularly liked the terrace where breakfast was served in the morning overlooking the swimming pool and the courtyard. There is a small massage room at the riad and the owner arranged a great massage upon our request.

Very beautiful accommodation with nice breakfast! It is true that the location is hard to find, especially after the Medina is closed in the evening. If you arrive late, be prepared that you might need to call a number via WhatsApp or arrange otherwise to check in. The hosts are very helpful. There was a problem with our room on the first night, but the hosts transferred us to another nice hotel and picked us up to check in the next day.

We cannot recommend Dar el Caid highly enough! The Dar is truely stunning and the service was outstanding-the best we have ever received in Tunisia. Issam and his brother went above and beyond everyday of our stay to accommodate us, nothing was too much trouble. We were travelling with our 2 year old and they took wonderful care of us and made us feel at home. Issam also helped us to organise visits around the area with an excellent agency. We can’t wait to visit again!

I had a wonderful time at Dar El Caid and would definitely stay there again. It's such a beautiful place, with special decorative touches that give it a very unique feel. It's like a lovely little oasis tucked away within the medina. It was peaceful, clean, and very quiet, which I really appreciated, and there's even a cute resident turtle who hangs out near the pool. The staff are also exceptional.- kind and very welcoming. Issam made himself available at all hours and was willing to help in any way he could, even offering to bring me medication when I was sick for a day and arranging a personal tour to nearby sites when I felt better. His hospitality and service to the people who stay there are top-notch, and I hope his employer appreciates his dedication as much as I did. Because of him and everything else I've mentioned, I can say that I recommend this hotel without hesitation!

Regarding Riad Dar El Caid we really liked everything. It was the best place that we stayed in Tunisia. The accommodation is inside the Medina and we couldn’t believe when we saw a pool inside. The pool was amazing. We spent some time there. And the staff was really kind. They gave us some Tamaras to eat while we’re at the pool. The breakfast was really nice. We loved. The living room is cute, and the bathroom is really good.

The hotel is just beautiful. All the photos are like in reality so you won’t be surprised. The building is historic and has plenty of tiny rooms and doors like in a castle. There’s a library and in the courtyard there’s a pool with a turtle. Owners were friendly and spoke good English. Breakfast was also nice.

Nice location, near Medina. Beautiful, hidden gem. The host, Issam, was very helpful, picked up our luggages from the street and brought to the room, even when we left helped with our luggages. The atmosphere calm and serene. Swimming pool relaxing. Breakfast was simple. The place was difficult to find initially. It is an alley. The room that was given to us initially was not satisfactory, no lock, poor lightening but he gave another room, which was just excellent.

This stay was incredible, the host went above and beyond to make everything perfect. They went as far as to make sure I had the perfect stay, the room was beautiful and I felt like family. The pool was also really cool after visiting the desert all day. Would absolutely stay again.
